This program aids plaintiffs in obtaining financial compensation or other forms of damages, with the maximum claim amount set at $10,000 for cases initiated by businesses, corporations, or other entities. Individuals can also file claims up to $10,000.

To initiate a small claims process, the following information is required: the name and address of the defendant, the precise amount owed to the claimant, the date when the payment was due, and a rationale for the claim. The lawsuit must be filed in the jurisdiction where the defendant lives or operates.

There is a filing fee of $50, which can be paid in cash or via Visa or Mastercard; personal checks are not accepted.
