This program provides monthly financial assistance to both adults and children with disabilities whose income and resources fall below designated financial thresholds. In Washington, an extra state supplement is available, and participants automatically qualify for Medicaid and food assistance benefits.
Intake Procedure: To begin, individuals can either call to set up an appointment at a local office or submit an application online. When applying for SSI, applicants will be given the option to apply for food benefits and can select between the Basic Food Benefits program or WASHCAP (Washington State Combined Application Program) benefits.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this program.
