This program provides representation for tenants in Pierce County during eviction proceedings. It supports individuals who have received an eviction summons, complaint, or notice from their landlord by offering a means to seek assistance.
Intake Process: If you have received an eviction summons or notice from your landlord and require free help with housing issues, you can complete the online intake form (recommended), come to the office for direct assistance, or make a phone call.
Cost: There are no fees involved.

- To be eligible, applicants must: 1. Live in Pierce County. 2. Be a current renter in the unit. 3. Include all leaseholders in the application. 4. Not reside in a subsidized unit (e.g., Section 8, Permanent Supportive Housing, etc.). 5. Have overdue rent, as the program does not cover utilities alone. 6. Be behind on rent for no more than three months. 7. Have a household income below 80% of the Area Median Income.
