- To qualify, income must be at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), and countable resources should not exceed $14,100 for individuals or $28,150 for couples living together. Exempt resources include primary residences, life insurance policies, burial plots, vehicles in use, and certain distributions from Alaska Native corporations. Applicants must be enrolled in a Medicare prescription drug plan (PDP), such as Medicare Part D or a Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C) that offers prescription coverage.
