This program provides monthly cash benefits to individuals aged 62 and older and manages Social Security numbers, claims, and applications.
Intake Procedure: Individuals can fill out a retirement application either online or at a local office. To obtain a replacement Social Security card, applications can also be submitted online or in person at a field office. Users must create an account on the Social Security website to access online services.

- Individuals aged 62 and older who have met the work requirements for coverage are eligible. Workers can retire at 62 for a reduced benefit or at 65 for full benefits. Certain family members may qualify for monthly benefits from a deceased worker, including widows or widowers aged 60 or older (50 or older if disabled), those caring for the deceased’s child under 16 or disabled, unmarried children under 18 or developmentally disabled, and parents aged 62 or older who depended on the deceased for at least half of their support.
