Intake Procedure: To apply, individuals can fill out a retirement application either online or at a local office. They can also request a replacement Social Security card through the same channels. Accessing online services requires users to set up an account on the Social Security website.

- Individuals aged 62 and older who have sufficient work history to qualify for benefits. They can retire at 62 for a reduced benefit or at 65 for full benefits. Certain family members may also qualify for benefits from a deceased worker, including: a widow or widower aged 60 or older (50 or older if disabled), a widow or widower of any age caring for the deceased’s child under 16 or disabled, an unmarried child under 18 or developmentally disabled, and dependent parents aged 62 or older.
