This program provides financial aid for home heating expenses to prevent the disconnection of heating services throughout the winter months. Applications are accepted only on designated days through online or phone methods. Assistance is limited to one time per season, and household income must not exceed 150% of the Federal Poverty Level.

Intake Procedure: To apply by phone, call on the specified application date and leave a message including your name, mailing address, and a contact number. Speak clearly and slowly, spelling both your first and last names. Note that this is solely a message line, operational only during the designated call-in hours until the limit is reached. For online applications, visit the designated website on open application days; the portal will be accessible only until the limit is met. After submitting an application, an Energy Specialist will reach out to schedule an energy appointment, which may take up to 90 days depending on the number of applicants. If the Energy Specialist cannot contact the client after three attempts or does not receive a response to voicemails, the appointment will be forfeited, requiring the client to reapply.
