This initiative provides affordable, long-term rental options in Thurston County for families whose incomes are at or below 80% of the area median income. The program has a limited number of units available and requires online registration for updates on availability.
Intake Process: Interested individuals should register online for updates. Verification of all income sources is necessary. Typically, there is a waitlist managed by the Thurston County Housing Authority, as Homes First does not maintain its own waitlist; housing is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible applicants.
Fees: Certain units are offered at fixed rates that fall below the fair market value, requiring that the household income be 1.75 times the rent. Other units have rates that adjust based on HUD guidelines. All household incomes must be a minimum of $400.
