Yelm Community Services

Provides a Food Pantry for individuals with low income in Yelm, Rainier, and the Nisqually Indian Tribe.

Intake Procedure: Arrive no earlier than 9 a.m. on Crystal Springs Road, past the intersection of Edwards/Crystal Springs/Coates Road, where legal parking is available. There is sufficient food for all, so early arrival is unnecessary. Parking is not permitted in the school zone of Yelm Middle School, which has 14 no-parking signs. Please wait for legal parking at the top of the hill, beyond the Edwards/Crystal Springs/Coates Road intersection. Volunteers will be present around 9 a.m. to assist those waiting for services. The food bank operates as an outdoor drive/walk-through facility, where volunteers can load food into vehicles, or clients may self-load as preferred. Walk-through clients can access food similarly but will need a wagon or transportation to carry it to their destination. Clients must ensure their vehicles do not obstruct access to the parking lot, particularly for buses and emergency vehicles (fire, police, or medical services).
