This initiative aids individuals receiving DSHS public assistance in securing a Washington State ID card at a lower price from the Department of Licensing. DSHS case workers will complete a form that clients can present at DOL to obtain the card for just $5.

- Individuals receiving public assistance from DSHS, including both financial and food assistance, qualify for this program. Those under 25 without a permanent address do not require a DSHS letter and can confirm their eligibility at the driver licensing office when obtaining their ID.
