This program aids recipients of DSHS public assistance in acquiring a Washington State ID card at a lower cost from the Department of Licensing. DSHS case workers will complete a form that clients can present at DOL to obtain the card for just $5.
Intake Procedure: You can either call or visit any Community Service Office.
Fees: The cost of the card is $5.

- Individuals receiving public assistance from DSHS, including both financial and food assistance, are eligible. Those under 25 without a permanent address do not require a DSHS letter and can confirm their eligibility when applying for the ID at the licensing office.
