About this resource

The initiative is designed for offenders to repay their societal debt by engaging in community service. It is expected that participants will gain from the established rules and penalties that ensure accountability and responsibility. This program seeks to help offenders achieve and maintain self-respect and a crime-free existence. Community Service entails offenders volunteering a designated number of hours to compensate for the harm they have caused. In some instances, this serves as an alternative to jail time. Drug Screening mandates that individuals convicted of specific drug offenses undergo random drug tests as part of their sentencing. Electronic Monitoring involves GPS tracking for court-ordered home confinement or detention. The 24/7 Program Coordination includes SCRAM, Drug Patch, and PBT testing as required by the state’s 24/7 program.
