Angel Flight West
Community Resource
About this resource
This initiative coordinates air travel through flights that are donated. The missions include non-emergency medical transport to distant medical facilities, specialty camps, relocating victims of domestic violence, aiding military personnel, facilitating blood, organ, and tissue donations, as well as responding to disasters. Additionally, trips may be arranged for compassionate reasons, such as visiting or caring for a critically ill family member. The travel distance ranges from a minimum of 101 miles to a maximum of 899 miles. Requests need to be made at least 7 days in advance, and applicants must provide a physician's medical release to travel. Each request is evaluated individually, and assistance is not guaranteed.
Intake Procedure: Interested individuals can call or visit the website to request a flight. Referrals can also be made by medical or social service providers.
Fees: There are no fees; however, donations are welcomed.
