About this resource
Offers thorough medical eye examinations and up to a year of care at no cost for any conditions identified during the initial visit.
Intake Procedure: Access the website to complete the online referral process. If you qualify, a referral letter will be sent via email.
Fees: The comprehensive medical eye exam accepts Medicare and Medicaid as full payment (co-payments will be waived). Patients without insurance incur no charges.
Who can use this
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident aged 18 or older, have not visited an ophthalmologist in the past 3 years, and must not be enrolled in an HMO or PPO, nor have private insurance or benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Documents you may need
- Copy of EyeCare America referral letter should be presented to doctor's office at the appointment
