About this resource
This service facilitates the safe processing and disposal of household hazardous waste (HHW) and universal waste. It accepts a range of chemical, solid, and hazardous items produced from household, vehicle, and yard maintenance, such as paints, outdoor products, auto fluids, cooking oil, items containing mercury, and compressed cylinders.
Intake Procedure: Visit during designated program hours, or contact via phone or online for information on transportation limits and items that are not accepted.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this service.
Who can use this
- Available to residents of Capitola, Scotts Valley, Santa Cruz, and unincorporated areas of Santa Cruz County, but not to those in Watsonville.
