About this resource
This initiative supports low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities in maintaining their home residency by providing financial assistance for support services. The services offered include light housekeeping, non-medical personal care, and transportation to and from medical appointments.
Intake Procedure: -Start by filling out an IHSS application (form SOC 295). -You will also need a completed Health Care Certification (form SOC 873) signed by a licensed healthcare professional.
Fees: Accepts Medi-Cal.
Who can use this
- To qualify, individuals must be California residents, eligible for Medi-Cal, and either currently receiving Medi-Cal or willing to apply. They must reside in their own home or a chosen dwelling, be blind, disabled, or at least 65 years old, and unable to live safely at home without assistance. For personal care or errand running, Medi-Cal recipients aged 65 and older or disabled individuals need certification from a licensed healthcare provider.
