About this resource
This program offers the processing and secure disposal of household hazardous waste (HHW) and universal waste. It accepts various chemical, solid, and hazardous materials produced from household, vehicle, and yard maintenance, such as paints, outdoor products, auto fluids, cooking oil, items containing mercury, and compressed cylinders.
Intake Procedure: Attend during operational hours, or contact via phone or online for information on transportation limits and items that are not accepted.
Fees: There is no charge for this service.
Who can use this
- Available to residents of Capitola, Scotts Valley, Santa Cruz, and unincorporated areas of Santa Cruz County, but not to those in Watsonville.
