About this resource
The initiative pairs senior volunteers with individuals experiencing intellectual or developmental disabilities to provide companionship and support. Volunteer placements are made in various settings, including classrooms, residential care facilities, and day programs.

Fees: There are no associated costs.
Who can use this
- Participants must be 55 years or older, meet AmeriCorps Seniors income eligibility standards, pass background checks, undergo a physical and TB test (expenses covered by the program), commit to volunteering a minimum of 5 hours weekly, and complete a 20-hour pre-service orientation.
