This federal initiative aims to decrease the monthly expenses associated with home phone, wireless phone, and internet services. Discounts can be utilized for either phone or internet bills, but not for both at the same time. The program's website features a directory of service providers.
Application Process: Interested individuals can either call or visit the website to apply or check the current list of discount service providers.
Cost: There are no fees involved.
Who can use this
- Eligible households include those earning below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or participating in specific programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Federal Public Housing Assistance, or Veterans/Survivors Pension. Additionally, households on Tribal lands with similar income thresholds or participating in federal assistance programs, as well as survivors of domestic violence or human trafficking, may qualify.
