Big Brothers - Big Sisters, Southwest Idaho

For over a century, Big Brothers Big Sisters has held the belief that every child possesses the potential to thrive and succeed. As the largest mentoring network supported by donations and volunteers in the country, it facilitates meaningful and supervised connections between adult volunteers (known as Bigs) and children (referred to as Littles), aged 6 to 18, in various communities nationwide. These relationships are built on positive interactions that significantly impact the lives of young individuals. Bigs and Littles engage in simple yet meaningful activities together—such as playing sports, watching movies, cooking, studying, visiting museums, washing cars, taking walks, volunteering, or simply enjoying each other's company. It is the friendships formed through these everyday experiences that create lasting change. Big Brothers Big Sisters collaborates closely with parents and guardians to ensure that each child is paired with the most suitable Big. All volunteers undergo screening, training, and supervision, with support from youth development professionals to guarantee that the relationships are safe and enriching for all parties involved. Services are available in both English and Spanish.
