The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) serves income-eligible infants, preschoolers, and women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum and are facing nutritional or medical challenges. Its primary aim is to enhance the health of participants by offering nutrition education, breastfeeding assistance, nutritious supplemental foods, and referrals to healthcare services at no charge. The program is managed by the Division of Public Health, Bureau of Clinical and Preventive Services, and services are available in English with interpreter assistance if needed. For enrollment, individuals should call to learn about the intake procedures.
