The Regional Children and Family Services Program handles and assesses reports related to child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When required, it provides suitable services to meet family needs. This program evaluates reported cases of child abuse, which may involve assessing family members and/or the affected child. It facilitates access to counseling for victims, parents, perpetrators, and others involved. Child protective services are offered at no cost. Additionally, this program licenses foster homes and provides some adoption services, and it is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
