The services provided by the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program are tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships and commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, therapy options such as developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapies are available, along with information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to aid families in nurturing their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth. The program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children enhance their communication, mobility, cognitive skills, eating habits, and overall participation in family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program offers support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, competency evaluations, placement coordination at the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
