These programs cover areas such as daycare, epidemiology (including animal bites and food/waterborne illnesses), food establishment permits and inspections, indoor air quality (like radon), lead health programs, methamphetamine labs, public pools, and solid waste management. Land Development initiatives focus on critical materials regulation, mortgage surveys, non-domestic wastewater management, public water systems, Rathdrum Aquifer protection, shallow injection well inventory, subdivision reviews, and subsurface sewage evaluations and permits. The Immunization Registry is a free, voluntary service that helps individuals keep track of their vaccination history and ensure they receive necessary vaccines on time. The WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program offers supplemental nutrition assistance, including monthly healthy food vouchers, health screenings, nutrition classes, community program information, registered dietitian counseling, breastfeeding support, and educational materials.
