Land Development programs include regulations on critical materials, mortgage surveys, non-domestic wastewater, public water systems, subdivision reviews, and subsurface sewage evaluations. Family Planning services offer education, counseling, pregnancy testing, comprehensive physical exams (including cancer and STD screenings), and referrals, with various birth control methods available. Educational resources and speakers can be provided for community events upon request, and emergency contraception is accessible. Immunizations are administered by local health departments, offering routine childhood vaccinations at low or no cost, as well as overseas immunizations by appointment. Adult vaccines like Td boosters, hepatitis, pneumonia, and influenza may also be available. The Immunization Registry is a free, confidential service that helps track immunizations for individuals and their healthcare providers. The WIC program supports women, infants, and children with healthy food vouchers, health screenings, nutrition education, and referrals to healthcare providers. It serves pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, infants under one year, and children under five.
