The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, featuring specialists like Wynette Howard and Mike Breuer, is tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. It provides an array of services, including evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, guardianships, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, it offers therapeutic services such as developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information on private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to aid families in supporting their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) in achieving their fullest potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental needs of the child and the family’s needs to bolster the child's growth. The program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in helping children enhance their communication, mobility, cognitive skills, eating habits, and overall participation in family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities, offering services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination at the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
