The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides comprehensive services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships and commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapeutic services, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to assist families in nurturing their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. This program addresses both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster growth. It operates through multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children enhance their communication, mobility, cognitive skills, eating habits, and overall participation in family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, offering services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination at the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which provides services in English and can access interpreters when needed. For intake, individuals are encouraged to call for an evaluation.
