KACF is dedicated to enhancing collaboration within the community and advancing prevention initiatives, fostering participation, and organizing events with local partners to share important information with youth, their families, and the broader community. Over the past fourteen years, KACF has taken the lead in overseeing and providing resources for numerous ongoing prevention activities and services. The mission of the Kootenai Alliance For Children & Families is to foster healthy families by promoting community collaboration to mitigate substance abuse among youth and eliminate service duplication. Their goals include reducing substance abuse among Kootenai County youth through evidence-based programs targeting priority risk factors, educating and supporting parents and community partners, and evaluating program activities that address key risk and protective factors.
