Center On Disabilities And Human Development

The CDHD manages several independent grant initiatives and provides training, services, technical assistance, research, and dissemination efforts throughout the state and the nation. To achieve its objectives, the CDHD participates in outstanding activities across five key domains: *Interdisciplinary training and preparation for students and fellows to secure leadership and direct service roles. *Direct services and demonstration projects that offer family and individual support, personal assistance, and infant monitoring. *Community training and technical assistance integrated into all CDHD projects, focusing on individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, professionals, paraprofessionals, policymakers, students, and volunteers. *Research and validation of innovative ideas and effective practices, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in developmental disabilities. *Dissemination of information and research outcomes to individuals with developmental disabilities, families, professionals, paraprofessionals, policymakers, students, and volunteers. Language support is available in English, Spanish, Russian, and Gujarati upon request.
