The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, therapy options are available, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, along with information about private service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention for infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months), ensuring that families can assist their children in reaching their full potential. This program is supported by multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in helping children with communication, mobility, cognitive skills, nutrition, and engagement in family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program offers services to adults with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which provides services in English and has access to interpreters.
