This private organization collaborates with individuals with disabilities, their families, and local communities to enhance independence and encourage community engagement. The Mental Health/Community Support Program caters to both children and adults, offering help in acquiring and utilizing essential skills for education or work. This encompasses areas like personal grooming, communication, managing anxiety, and exhibiting appropriate behaviors in school settings. Additionally, it provides problem-solving support for daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, financial and time management, and transportation usage. The program also includes medication management, education on medication effects, and community crisis support to ensure safety and prevent hospitalizations. Other services include outreach, counseling, pre-assessment assistance, occupational and speech therapy, and residential habilitation. Service coordination is available for all ages, from infants to adults, with support during meetings and appointments, 24-hour crisis assistance, and innovative problem-solving. Employment services focus on helping individuals with developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, learning disabilities, mental health issues, and physical disabilities find and maintain jobs. Recreational activities include a teen club, family retreats, excursions, and mini camps for children and teens. Pre-employment training covers job exploration, resume preparation, job application completion, and interview techniques. Services are offered in English.
