The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a variety of services tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianship and commitment assistance, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to aid families in supporting their infants and toddlers (from birth to 36 months) in achieving their fullest potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in helping children with communication, mobility, cognitive skills, nutrition, and engagement in daily family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities by providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, and services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
