This initiative delivers assistive technology (AT) services, encompassing evaluations, training, consultations, and demonstrations of devices for individuals with disabilities across all age groups, along with support for families, counselors, therapists, teachers, agencies, and other interested parties. Training is provided for assistive computer software, hardware, and AT devices tailored for individuals, educational institutions, and adults. Additionally, it includes work site assessments and environmental control evaluations. The program also manages the WNY Regional TRAID Center; further details are available in a separate listing.
Intake Process: To access assistive technology services, clients should submit a request. Interested individuals will receive a referral packet or have an appointment scheduled via phone.
