Compeer Rochester
Community Resource
Acerca de este recurso
This initiative provides personalized mentorship on a one-on-one basis for children and adults who are receiving mental health treatment. Prior to matching, volunteers undergo individual training, and there is continuous training available after matches are established. Volunteer Coordinators offer support both before and after the match. Activities between volunteers and clients can include friendly visits, cultural experiences, and special events. Additionally, the program features Compeer Calling/E-Buddies, which provides telephone or email support for clients awaiting volunteer matches. Volunteer opportunities are also available.
Intake Procedure: For volunteers, a call for information is required. Clients are referred through a mental health provider.
Fees: Services are provided at no cost.
