Early Intervention, Special Education And School Aged Services

This initiative delivers Early Intervention (EI) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) services to children from birth to age five who experience developmental delays in multiple domains such as communication, physical and motor skills, cognitive abilities, social and emotional development, and adaptive skills. Comprehensive evaluations are conducted, including assessments for autism spectrum disorder. Customized treatment plans may encompass speech and language therapy (including PROMPT), physical and occupational therapy, special education, feeding therapy, nutritional and parental guidance, sensory integration training, play therapy, applied behavioral analysis (ABA), and support for visually and hearing-impaired children. The program also provides bilingual services, Mommy and Me groups, parent support groups, family training, and transition counseling. For school-aged children, services through the Committee on Special Education (CSE) are available as specified in their IEP.
