This program provides health insurance for individuals aged 65 and above, those who have been on Social Security disability benefits for a minimum of 24 consecutive months, and insured workers and their dependents. It also issues new or replacement Social Security numbers and cards. Benefits are available for disabled workers who have not yet reached Full Retirement Age, their dependents, and survivors of insured workers, including widows or widowers aged 60 and older, those with dependent children under 16, and widows between 50 and 60 who meet disability criteria. Monthly payments are made to disabled adults and children with limited income and resources, and benefits are also available to individuals aged 65 and older without disabilities. The program connects recipients of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) with complimentary employment services.
