Community Resource
Acerca de este recurso
DSHS conducts hearings across four key areas: public assistance, child support, facility licensing, and juvenile rehabilitation. Clients who disagree with a DSHS decision are entitled to an administrative hearing.
Intake Process: The DSHS notice will specify the deadline for hearing requests, indicate if the request needs to be submitted in writing, provide the submission address, and clarify if oral requests are permitted. To contest the denial or termination of cash, medical, or basic food benefits, clients should submit a hearing request in writing or communicate with a designated individual (like a case worker, supervisor, or fair hearings coordinator) at the Community Service Office.
Fees: There are no fees involved.
