Boise Girls Academy / Teen Challenge

Boise Girls Academy serves up to 20 adolescent girls, ages 13-17, who exhibit various at-risk behaviors. Our mission is to empower these young women to make healthier choices and appreciate themselves, their families, and others. We operate as a licensed therapeutic boarding school in Idaho and are affiliated with Pacific Northwest Adult and Teen Challenge centers, as well as being accredited by Teen Challenge USA. Our program acts as an 'early intervention' to support girls before they face long-term consequences from poor decisions. The school offers a 15-month program with enrollment available year-round. We provide an interactive online curriculum through Alpha Omega Academy, which is accredited by AdvancED, ensuring that each girl receives a tailored educational experience that includes both core subjects and electives. Certified teachers are present to assist students and monitor their academic progress. Continuing education is a key priority for us. Additionally, we offer counseling services from a licensed on-staff counselor, a therapeutic curriculum, and group therapy sessions. Parental involvement is encouraged through regular communication, letter exchanges, and Parent Weekends held every other month. Students engage in physical activities through a local gym membership, enjoy free time, and participate in various special events throughout the year. We also attend off-campus church services twice a week and hold chapel services on campus. Languages offered include English.
