Boy Scouts Of America - Southwest Idaho-Ore-Ida Council

The program supports youth from 1st grade through high school, featuring groups like Tiger Cubs (age 6 or 1st graders), Cub Scouts (ages 7-10), Boy Scouts (ages 10 1/2 - 18), Varsity Scouts (ages 14 - 18), and Venturing (coed ages 14 - 20). Additionally, it provides youth with Learning For Life in School Programs and career exploration opportunities, primarily through business or organization sponsors. The mission focuses on guiding youth to make ethical decisions that positively influence their lives. This is achieved through adult mentorship and partnerships with chartered sponsors, including religious organizations, service clubs, schools, and other public or private entities that support the program's goals. Boys can join at any time throughout the year via an existing Pack, Troop, Team, or Crew. The ORE-IDA COUNCIL DISTRICTS include: CENTENNIAL DISTRICT, serving Kuna, Nampa, Melba, Caldwell, Middleton, Marsing, Homedale, Jordan Valley, Notus, and Wilder; GEM STATE DISTRICT, covering Eagle, Star, Emmett, Sweet, Horseshoe Bend, Garden Valley, Cascade, and the Meridian School District north of Interstate 84; OREGON TRAIL DISTRICT, serving Bruneau, Boise City, Garden City, Glenns Ferry, Grandview, Idaho City, Mountain Home, and the Meridian School District south of Interstate 84; and SEVEN RIVERS DISTRICT, which includes Ontario, Payette, Nyssa, Vale, New Plymouth, Parma, Adrian, Fruitland, Cambridge, Weiser, Burns, McCall, Council, New Meadows, and Riggins.
