Children's Residential Care Licensing

The Residential Treatment Facilities Program handles inquiries concerning the rules, applications, and complaints associated with Children's Residential Treatment Facilities (group homes), Children's Agencies, and Children's Outdoor Therapeutic Programs, as well as the licensing of these facilities. It is important to note that the program does NOT provide licenses for foster care homes or day care centers. Licensing staff are on hand to offer general information about licensed entities operating in the State of Idaho. Any complaints regarding child protection issues should be directed to local law enforcement or child protection services where the facility or organization is located. The program is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Languages available: English.
