The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides various services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers therapy for children from birth to 3 years, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapies, and shares information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to assist families in helping their infants and toddlers (up to 36 months) achieve their fullest potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental requirements of the child and the family's needs to foster the child's growth. The program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists specializing in aiding children to communicate, move, think, eat, and engage in their family's daily routines. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program offers support to adults with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program is overseen by the Division of Family and Community Services, with services available in English and interpreters accessible upon request.
