The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides tailored services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, it offers therapy for children from birth to 3 years, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapies, and shares information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention services to assist families in nurturing their infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists specializing in helping children communicate, move, think, eat, and engage in their family's daily routines. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities, providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services, with services available in English and interpreters upon request.
