About this resource
The Idaho Human Rights Commission (IHRC) is a state agency created by the Idaho legislature to protect individuals from unlawful discrimination. It also processes complaints under federal laws that are referred to it by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The Commission's mission is to ensure that all individuals in Idaho are free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age (40 and older), and disability. It investigates complaints from individuals who believe they have been subjected to discrimination in employment, housing, education, and public accommodations. Additionally, it works to enforce the policies outlined in federal Civil Rights laws. Services are available in both English and Spanish.
