About this resource
Initiated in 2009 by Project Filter, the Idaho Quitline delivers complimentary 24/7 coaching via phone and online platforms, in addition to nicotine replacement therapy for those aiming to stop using commercial tobacco. This service is accessible to anyone aged 13 and above residing in Idaho, with parental approval needed for participants younger than 18. Interested individuals can reach out by calling 1-800-QUIT-NOW or by visiting the Project Filter website, where they can select either the “I’m a teen ready to quit” or “I’m an adult ready to quit” options to enroll. Healthcare professionals can also refer individuals to the Idaho Quitline through the “Help someone quit” page, which provides resources for educators and parents. Services are available in English and Spanish, with free translation services offered.
