Love Inc Boise

Full name: Love INC of the Boise Community. Love INC (also known as Love In the Name of Christ) engages church volunteers to support those in need via acts of service and donated goods. It does not function as an emergency service and does not distribute money. The call center verifies the legitimacy of requests and can refer individuals to financial agencies or connect them with volunteers from 25 partner churches to address needs within its ministry framework. Volunteers from partner churches offer a range of services, including transportation, yard maintenance, moving assistance, and home repairs, utilizing their skills to aid those who might otherwise be overlooked. Essential items like diapers, clothing, coats, and household supplies are accessible through a voucher system. Love INC Boise also runs a 6-month program called Abundant Living, aimed at helping participants overcome financial challenges and achieve a debt-free lifestyle. Adults in the household must participate in weekly group sessions and have regular meetings with a personal Budget Counselor. This Christian-based program incorporates Christian teachings and prayer into each class and meeting, and it is open to anyone seeking to establish a structured plan for financial stability, regardless of income.
