Medication Disposal Program

Residents have the opportunity to safely and freely dispose of unwanted medications and outdated prescriptions at designated law enforcement offices. The Boise City Police, Ada County Sheriff's Office, Meridian, Eagle, and Garden City Police will each provide a collection bin in their lobbies with a "no questions asked" policy. By taking part in this initiative, residents contribute to the protection of the Boise River's water quality and help minimize the chances of medication errors and misuse within the community. Locations include: Boise City Police at Boise City Hall West, 333 N. Mark Stall Place, 83704 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday; Ada County Sheriff's Office at 7225 Barrister Dr., 83704 from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday; Garden City Police Department at 301 E 50th, 83714 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday; Meridian Police Department at 1401 E. Watertower Lane from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday; and Eagle Police Department at Eagle Fire and Police Safety Building, 1119 E. State St., Suite 240, 2608 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
