About this resource
MDA offers diagnostic services and ongoing medical care, providing support for: 1) One annual visit each for speech therapy, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and occupational therapy. 2) An annual flu shot. 3) A monthly support group for ALS. Additionally, MDA offers direct services such as covering repair costs for wheelchairs, scooters, leg braces, and other durable medical equipment. They also maintain a loan closet for durable medical equipment, which includes repairs and lending services. Furthermore, MDA organizes a week-long summer camp for children aged 6-17 who have neuromuscular diseases. Languages available: English.
