Additionally, it covers Athletic Commission Acupuncturists, Athletic agents, Architects, Landscape Architects, Barbers, Morticians, Chiropractors, Nursing Home Administrators, Cosmetology, Optometrists, Counselors & Marriage Family Therapists, Podiatrists, Denturists, Psychologists, Real Estate Appraisers, Social Workers, Idaho Residential Care Administrators, Geologists, and Shorthand Reporters. Inspections can be requested anytime via the automated telephone inspection request system at 1-800-839-9239 or online. To make a request through the phone system, have your permit number and Inspection code (IVR) ready. For online requests, log in, select "permits" to find your permit, and follow the prompts to request an inspection. Next-day inspection requests can be made until 7 p.m. MST, but there may be cases where the inspection cannot be completed as scheduled, in which case you will be notified. For elevator inspections, as of November 1, 2011, requests must be emailed to safety@dbs.idaho.gov with specific details included.
