About this resource

The Saint Alphonsus Family Center acts as a hub for women across generations to access professional support and health resources. Guided by a collaborative team of healthcare providers, the center works alongside women and their families to enhance wellness throughout their lives. It serves as a venue for family growth, offering various parenting classes such as Signing Times, Parenting at Midnight, and Pediatric Sleep Consultations. Family Wellness Education Programs include CARE Maternal/Child Health Programs, which provide clinic and educational support for pregnant refugee women and their families. Classes cover early pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum education, alongside breastfeeding support from certified lactation consultants who assist new mothers with breastfeeding challenges and provide a range of breastfeeding supplies. Additional parenting resources include classes on toddler management, newborn care, and child/teen development, as well as safety courses like Babysitting Safely and CPR for Parents. Support groups are available for breastfeeding encouragement and for parents of infants, along with resources for those experiencing miscarriage and infant loss through SHARE of Idaho. Certified massage therapy services are also offered for women, men, and children, including Swedish and pregnancy massages. Language assistance is available. For intake, simply call.
