About this resource

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), previously referred to as Food Stamps, aids low-income households in acquiring the food essential for their health. Eligible participants receive an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, functioning similarly to a debit card for grocery purchases. This card draws funds from a designated SNAP account for the family, which can only be used for qualifying food items. Available languages include English and Spanish.
